Development on the GPUmatrix engine is finished. The engine is written from scratch and directly
accesses the shader pipeline and texture units of your GPU. The engine is written in OpenGL.
As soon as the matrix algorithms have been implemented a new version of GPUMatrix will be released
and will probably be MUCH faster as the current Naïve approach. Initial version will be on
windows but with some luch the Linux version will follow soon enough. If you are interested, you can
check the code updates through our cvs system. The
engine can be used as a direct interface to the GPU pipeline and be exploited for your own purposes.
GPUMatrix Tests show that the use of brookGPU does not
deliver the desired performance. That's why I've started development on a new (OpenGL) engine specialy aimed at

of the psyche matrix
has begun. development wiki This will allow
you to run the psyche multilayer perceptron and monkiefarm on your GPU. We think this will deliver
superfast performance, since the parallel processing capabilities of your GPU should
be no match for a simple sequential general purpose processor. When the project is
done I will rename the psyche multilayer perceptron to wolfenstein multilayer perceptron,
for obvious reasons. GPUMatrix Coop consists currently of Falco00, Skinkie and me.
I am currently involved in a
project concerning speechreading
at AIST in Japan. We are building
neural networks that can learn how to lipread, based on research on
hearing impaired people. I don't think I can post any code here,
because I must hand over all copyrights.

Using specially selected and tested
compiler flags my compiler created the finest fastest string
of zero and ones to put your cpu to full use...
These binaries have it all, nomore insecurity about your codec using the latest sse instructions
or a blurpy bloatfull codepath to ensure compatibility
. Remember to try Autogk!!!
I also got some experimental codecs, xvid 1.1.0 beta.
You could try them if you like, same optimization settings.
This is experimental, so if you experience unwanted behaviour
that's normal...

I find it unstable and not backwards compatible, also it is not as fast as koepies build. This may be due to the MinGW compilers minimality. Also it is not really backwards compatible for now, 0.9x encoded movies get blocky and green artifacts at the bottom of the screen. Also Koepies build had problems with decoding, yielding upside down images.
